Each year we measure our performance against the strategic goals in our Strategic Plan. This framework guides how we fulfil our vision and purpose.

We are currently implementing our 2009-2012 Strategic Plan, which is structured around four strategic platforms:

  • community
  • influence
  • innovation
  • capacity building

To show how we are tracking against these objectives, we now produce a one page summary or ‘report card’ at the end of the Financial Year as part of our annual reporting process. Our 2010 and 2011 summaries are attached below.

More detail about our activities, the outcomes of our work, and our financial highlights, can be found in our 2011 Annual Review. We also produce a Financial Report to provide access to our full financial statements.

Measuring our impact is important because it helps us understand what works and what doesn’t. This in turn gives us a body of evidence to draw on in constantly improving how we help people and communities. It also highlights areas where our organisation can work more effectively, for example by drawing on new technology, streamlining processes and introducing improvements to support our staff in their work.
