A gift in your Will is a life-affirming promise made today to help others tomorrow - a gift that may be more than you can afford to give now but one that will have a lasting impact.
Making a bequest (leaving a legacy in your Will) to The Benevolent Society is a very special gift. It is the ultimate expression of generosity and a lasting legacy of your commitment to our work. It also demonstrates how much you care for others.
What do I need to do to leave a bequest?
Making provision in your Will is simple and there are different types of bequest that you might wish to consider. For more information please read our information sheet below. We recommend that you consult a solicitor when drawing up or changing a Will.
The Benevolent Circle
When you pledge to leave a gift in your Will, you will be joining an exclusive group who share your values and have made the same decision. The Benevolent Circle is our way of acknowledging your special gift and membership is automatic for all our bequest supporters, so if you are considering making a bequest or you have already included The Benevolent Society in your Will, we do ask that you tell us. As a member of The Benevolent Circle we will keep you informed about our work and we will invite you to special events where you can hear about the work we are doing to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people. Read about one of our Benevolent Circle members and why he chose to include us in his Will.
Free Will service
Our legal advisers, Hicksons Lawyers, have generously offered to write or amend a Will free of charge for anyone who intends to leave a bequest to The Benevolent Society. Please contact us for more information.
