The Benevolent Society is constantly searching for new solutions to social issues, generating and staying up-to-date with the latest evidence and raising awareness on issues of importance.
Conducting research helps us to expand our knowledge about important areas of social policy and to find better solutions for clients and communities. We do this by researching the issues faced by the people and communities we work with, and the context we work within, and by reflecting on ourselves as an organisation.
Evaluation helps us to establish whether we are delivering services effectively, making a positive difference to people’s lives, and are helping to create caring and inclusive communities.
We influence social policy by working with government and other decision makers, contributing to public debate on a range of social issues and conducting campaigns.
