The Mother-Baby Hub: a 'one stop shop' for all mother and baby needs.

The Mother-Baby Hub is a wellbeing centre for parents which combines a comprehensive range of prenatal and postnatal health services with the convenience of childminding and a café, all located in the same place.

The Mother-Baby Hub is located in Strathpine in Queensland. Click here to visit the Mother-Baby Hub website.

Helping new parents to be confident

The Mother-Baby Hub aims to address the many aspects of isolation and anxiety facing new parents today, specifically in the post-natal period and the lead up to impending parenthood. Our team of health professionals includes a GP, Midwife, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist who are able to provide parents with the information they need to feel comfortable and confident before and after a baby's birth and during early childhood. The Hub is also a safe place for parents to go on their first few outings with a newborn.

Innovation in early childhood services

The Mother-Baby Hub concept was developed by young entrepreneurs Chrissie and Peter Norton when they identified a desperate need for more community based services supporting new mothers. The Benevolent Society is now managing the Mother-Baby Hub, with support from Chrissie.

Developing and delivering  integrated early childhood services is an important part of our innovative approach to supporting families and communities. We have launched two Early Years Centres in Queensland (at Browns Plains and Nerang) and a Child and Family Centre in Woodberry in NSW, which give families with young children access to a range of support services to improve their children's health, well-being and safety.
