Campbelltown Communities for Children

works with families and children aged 0-12 in Rosemeadow and Ambarvale to create supportive, safer communities and happier families.

Who are we?

We are managed by The Benevolent Society with guidance and support from the Communities for Children Committee. This committee is made up of local community members, service providers and other stakeholders such as Housing NSW. We also have a Parents Panel and Kids Committee.

Both these committees are places where parents and children can have a say in what happens in Communities for Children. Contact us if you would like to know more or to get involved.

What do we do?

Communities for Children funds local organisations to run a variety of groups and services throughout Rosemeadow and Ambarvale including Supported Playgroups, a Community Cafe and various After-school activities.

Activities mostly run term-time, though there will be some special events held during the school holidays.

Communities for Children Plus

In August 2010 we were awarded additional funding to develop Communities for Children Plus. This builds on the work we are doing with Communities for Children by allowing us to provide more support to vulnerable families. Over the last few months we have been talking to the community and community organisations about the best way to use this funding. We have developed a new Community Strategic Plan to outline how we will do this.
