Our 'Scarba' child protection services, based in Bondi, Waterloo and Ingleburn, provide a range of services to ensure that children are safe and supported to heal from the impacts of abuse and neglect.
We also support families to address and overcome the stresses which led to the abuse and neglect. Every family has individual needs and we work with them to find out what approach will work best for them through a broad range of services such as:
- counselling
- home visiting
- access to child health professionals
- play groups
- social groups to help parents form social networks
- art therapy
- linking families to local services and activities
- activities such as cooking groups and circus skills workshops.
The Scarba services are for children aged 0–12 years and most families are referred by the NSW Department of Community Services.
