Camden Communities 4 Kids focuses on families with children (0–8 years) and supports parents in their parenting role, providing parenting and community information and linking parents with each other to support a strong community.
Our staff work closely with other services to assist with and complement each other’s programs. Our initiatives include:
Groups for parents
Groups for parents and young children are held during school term. These groups have a nutrition focus with parents and children cooking healthy meals and snacks together.
Family events in parks
We partner with other local community organisations to organise a range of family events including Family Fun Days and street events.
Transition-to-school program
‘Little Steps To Big School’ assists children and their parents to get to know each other, the school community and school expectations before the child starts school.
Camden Communities 4 Kids is a whole of government strategy of the NSW Government, funded through the Families NSW initative.
