The Benevolent Society works with individuals and communities across New South Wales and South East Queensland.

To find one of our services, you can search by:

Service category: e.g. “Older people”.  This will search for all our services related to older people.

Location: e.g. “Bexley”.  This will search for all our services that operate in Bexley local government area.

Keyword search: eg "Brighter Futures" or "food services" if you are looking for a particular service.

  • Residential aged care hostel

    Aged care hostel at Sans Souci which provides long term and short term residential care to older people.

  • Community Care Nepean

    Provides and/or coordinates a range of care and support services for older people who need considerable help with day to day activities to stay living at home. Provides respite care so that family members who are looking after people with dementia can take a break in an emergency or on a regular planned basis.

  • Northern Beaches Food Services

    Provides meals on wheels to older people, people with a disability  and their carers, in their own homes. Also weekly seniors' luncheon clubs in Narrabeen (Mondays), Forestville (Thursdays) and Avalon (Fridays) with transport to pick people up from home.

    Services to address the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal women 35+ and all women 45+ in the Macarthur region of New South Wales.

  • Community Care Eastern Sydney

    Provides and/or coordinates a range of community care services for older people, veterans and people with a disability who need help to stay living at home, and for their family members who care for them. Provides assistance for people whose health is such that they need help from several different services, as well as assistance for people who need less intensive help.

  • Retirement housing

    Low cost self-care retirement housing for older people aged 70 years and over at William Charlton Village in Allambie Heights and Mirrabooka Village in Little Bay.

  • Community Care Southern Sydney

    Provides and/or coordinates a range of community care services for older people (including those with dementia) who need considerable help with day to day activities to stay living at home. Includes Greenwood Cottage day centre where frail older people can enjoy social interaction with others, activities and outings. Also assists low income, frail older people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to find affordable, secure housing and obtain health and care services. 

  • South East Sydney Commonwealth Carer Respite and Carelink Centre

    Provides free information – over the phone and in person –  about the various services available to support older people, people with a disability and their carers at home, as well as information about costs, assessment processes and eligibility criteria.

    Assists family members and others who are looking after older people, adults with a disability, chronic illness or terminal illness and children with disabilities, so that they can take a break ('respite')..

  • Community Care Northern Sydney

    Provides and/ or coordinates a range of different care and support services for older people who need considerable help with day to day activities to stay living at home. Also assists older people and people with a disability who need less intensive support, and their carers.

  • St George and Sutherland Live at Home Programs

    Organises and coordinates a range of care services for older people, veterans and people with a disability who need considerable help to stay living at home. Assists family members and others who are looking after older people, adults with a disability or children with a disability, so that they can take a regular break.  Organises social support activities for children, young people and adults with disabilities. Organises services for older people to help them avoid an unecessary episode in hospital and for older people after they have come out of hospital.
