PARC offers face-to-face counselling to anyone affected by adoption. It is useful for those who:
- Want to explore their issues regarding adoption and related personal problems - relationships, identity issues, etc
- Face difficult search and /or reunion problems
- Intend to use PARC's intermediary service
- Require mandatory counselling before the release of adoption information from the United Kingdom
Referrals to counsellors in other areas of regional NSW or other states in Australia may be made.
Counselling may include partners and other family members. This can be negotiated with your counsellor.
Fees
PARC is a service of The Benevolent Society which is a not-for-profit organisation. Whilst we receive funding from the Department of Community Services, we have to raise money in client fees to maintain our service.
Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on household income. You will not be turned away because of an inability to pay. If you have questions about our fees please talk to a PARC counsellor. Fees do not attract GST.
