The Post Adoption Resource Centre (PARC) is committed to providing sensitive and caring services to all parties affected by adoption in New South Wales and the ACT and in regional NSW.
PARC is staffed by qualified counsellors with extensive experience in post-adoption and related issues. Our counsellors are able to see clients in person at Hurstville, Bondi and at Waitara and can also be contacted by telephone and email.
Our staff
Janet manages the service. She is a Social Worker with over twenty years' counselling experience, including ten years at PARC. Janet works part-time and is in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Lareena is a Counsellor with PARC. She is a Psychotherapist with a Post Graduate qualification in Counselling & Psychotherapy. She worked with young people for five years before joining PARC, where she works Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Lizzie is a Counsellor with PARC. She is a social worker with an MA in Couple and Family Therapy and worked in out-of-home care before joining PARC where she works full-time.
Órlaith is a Family Therapist trained in Psychology with a Post Graduate counselling specialisation and an MA in Couple and Family Therapy. Órlaith has worked at PARC since early 2006. Órlaith works part-time on Thursdays and Fridays.
Helen is a part-time Psychologist at PARC. She is also trained in family therapy, holding an MA in Couple and Family Therapy. She began working at PARC in 2004, and is currently on parental leave.
Fiona is a Counsellor at PARC. She is a social worker with over 20 years experience, including 11 years in the adoption field and 10 years working with families with children with disabilities. Fiona works on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Elaine and Suzanne are PARC’s administrative staff. Elaine has been with PARC since 1993 and Suzanne started in 2011. Elaine works Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Suzanne works Thursdays and Fridays.
