Post Adoption Support Queensland (PASQ) is committed to providing sensitive and caring services to all parties affected by adoption throughout QLD, including all regional areas
PASQ is funded by the Department of Communities (Child Safety). We provide a range of services for individuals affected by adoption. We also offer resources for professionals, community forums and tailored training seminars.
Counselling and supportOur team of professionals is specifically trained to best support you in working with issues unique to adoption.
- Face-to-face counselling
- Telephone support and counselling
- Therapeutic groups and themed workshops
Intermediary service
A dedicated counsellor will support you during your journey of search and reunion, from making the decision to search for a birth relative to preparation for contact, and support during the outcomes.
Information and training
PASQ runs regional and metropolitan Adoption Connections meetings. These meetings are an opportunity to explore the complexities of search and reunion.

Fees
The majority of our funding comes from the QLD Department of Communities (Child Safety) but we depend on fees and donations to maintain some of our services. We have a sliding scale for counselling, intermediary services and groups. No-one will be excluded from our service on the basis of their inability to pay.
