We provide the following information and support services to people affected by adoption.
Electoral roll searches
We are able to conduct electoral roll searches for people looking for birth relatives throughout Australia. Fees are $40 ($10 for concession card holders).
Information and discussion meetings
Our information and discussion meetings bring together other adoptees, birth parents, adoptive parents, their friends and family to talk about the experience of adoption. Participants discuss the implications of search and reunion and 'down the track' issues. Guest speakers (an adoptee, a birth parent and an adoptive parent) will share their experiences of adoption and reunion, followed by general discussion. Written information is also available.
When
Meetings are regularly scheduled in different areas of Sydney, regional NSW and the ACT and also in Brisbane and regional Queensland. Information about upcoming meetings can be found on our Events page.
Fees
A nominal fee is charged per meeting.
Support groups
